On November 26, I had a chance to meet one of my favorite preachers. This was at the wedding of Jeremy & Patrice Lacy Smith. On this day, Dr. Cleopatrick Lacy father of the bride and Senior Pastor of Griffin's Mount Zion Baptist Church gave me the tak of greeting the ministers and their guests.
I first learned about Pastor Marcus Cosby through a college friend, Mr. Cornelis Polk, III. He is a member of Cosby's church and had a CD with Cosby preaching. Since that time, I have followed the ministry of Pastor Cosby.
Cosby is one who can and will preach. His thorough knowledge of the bible in its entirety especially the book of Psalms, will send any saint, running, screaming and shouting about the goodness of our Lord and Savior.
Cosby is the senior pastor of the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston, TX.
Pastor Cosby was the Chief Officaint of the Smith and Lacy wedding. His smooth style of officiating was noticed by many people. He performed the entire wedding ceremony from memory. No black book was used, as you often see other preachers use. This was absolutely amazing! (Shouting moment..LOL)
